Abstract
Herbal excipients are beneficial as freely available, less expensive, stable and easily biodegradable and can be used to overcome the trouble of toxicity, chemical incompatibility of the synthetic excipients in various drug delivery system. Several pharmaceutical herbal excipients such as starch, agar alginates, carrageen an, etc. which are used in the pharmaceutical industry as binding agent, disintegrants sustaining agent, colorants and dyes. The coloring agent improve the appearance. In this article we focused on biofriendly coloring agents and dyes.
