Abstract
Today’s shade-matching technologies have been developed in an effort to increase the success of colour matching, communication, reproduction and verification in clinical dentistry, and, ultimately, to increase the efficiency of aesthetic restorative work within any practice. The tooth colour determination is a very important point during restorative dentistry procedures. Its clinical relevance needs to be considered before any treatment procedures in aesthetic dentistry. An alternative to visual colour assessment is using colour measuring instruments.
