Abstract:
FDI (Foreign Direct Investment) is an important source of economic growth of any nation. When FDI comes from one nation to another nation, it creates advantages for both the home & host country. FDI helps in fulfilling the gap between domestic savings and investment of a developing nation. There are many factors i.e. large market size, market growth, good infrastructure, trade, reserves, inflation, exchange rate, labour wages which attract FDI in a host nation. The main aim of foreign direct investment is to control and manage the investment in host nation. Foreign direct investment is distinguished from foreign portfolio investment in respect of direct control. In the present study, trend and growth of FDI inflows in Brazil and India have been measured through graphs, tables, AGR (Annual Growth Rate), AAGR (Average Annual Growth Rate), CAGR (Compound Annual Growth Rate) for the period of 1995 to 2019.
