| Abstract: | Biodiversity represents the very foundation of human existence. Homestead biodiversity is a combination of flora and fauna, that are particularly important to make a clean and fresh environment. The study was carried out to assess the Homestead biodiversity of selected sites of Mookkannoor Panchayath and identified the species in the homestead and surroundings. The biodiversity was closely monitored and the collected data was compiled. The observation was recorded during day and night and the spotted organisms were captured using the camera. The habitats of the organisms were also noted. The identification was made using suitable reference books, expert opinion and internet facilities. The collected and compiled data were subjected to taxonomic studies. |
