Abstract: In geotechnical engineering, the idea of geosynthetic as reinforcement is frequently used. Geogrids comes under the category of geosynthetic materials, which are employed as reinforcing elements in the building sector. It can be used to reinforce soil or retaining walls, and even more uses for the material are on the horizon as it continues to grow in popularity. A geogrid design that was inspired by biological systems was used in this investigation. In this study, a bioinspired geogrid shape based on the idea of a honeycomb structure was examined and contrasted with currently available conventional commercial geogrid. The geogriddepth, thickness, and cell aperture width was varied in this study's parametric study, which will be carried out by printing physical geogrid models with sand as the fill material. 3D printing may allow faster and more accurate construction of complex or bespoke items as well as lowering labour costs and producing less waste.
