The novel The Slave Girl by Buchi Emecheta presents a picture of African women and a picturization of their struggles as enslaved people and how they get freedom from slavery or not. In actuality, it was a trick of her eyes that she got freedom. She is still trapped in the web of male dominance and patriarchy. She never got freedom. She just kept on enslaving one man after another. In this paper, Ojebeta begins her life as an enslaved person. Ultimately becomes an owner of a house by passing through so many life problems as an enslaved person. In the early phase of her life, her brother sold her for domestic slavery. She has become the victim of her brother's act. She has become a dupe in this dominant male society. The main motto of Buchi Emecheta is to regenerate a good image of women through feminism. Emecheta's novels are a piece of reality with socio-historical elements of this current society.
