Various parties including manufacturers, processors, distributors, retailers, and consumers, make up a common supply chain. The costs associated with a supply chain include choosing a supplier, allocating orders, producing goods, distributing them, and managing inventories. In order to enhance supplier performance overall and lower system costs in the context of today's fiercely competitive international marketplace, it is crucial that almost all supply chain members adhere to a single set of rules. As a result, for many years, academics and businesses have worked to construct centralized decision frameworks for optimizing supply chains. For example, due to the popularity of both inventory and purchasing rules, most contemporary research has concentrated on addressing these two issues together. Levels and Leung (2005), for example, present a multi-product, multi-period inventory lot-sizing model that takes suppliers into account. This paper is an attempt to explore a serial supply chain that determines the retail price and inventory policy.
