| Abstract: | In the context of adventure tourism, this study investigates the effect of destination characteristics on adventure visitor satisfaction. Adventure tourism is becoming more and more popular, with a young audience looking for special and unforgettable experiences. 79 tourists who engaged in adventure activities in Kerala, India provided data for the study. The results show that local culture has a considerable and favourable impact on adventure tourists' pleasure. Adventure packages must include it since tourists desire for authentic, engaging cultural encounters. There is still room for development in these areas, as there was no correlation between physiography and service quality and visitor satisfaction. The implications of the research highlight how crucial destination characteristics are in creating pleasurable travel encounters. This information can be used by tourism businesses to create individualized adventure packages that will increase repeat business. Emphasizing cultural immersion and upgrading natural environments can increase overall customer satisfaction and distinguish locations in a cutthroat industry. In order to better serve the expanding market of adventure-seeking tourists, destination managers and experts in the adventure tourism sector can benefit from the insights provided by this study. Understanding the elements affecting visitor satisfaction is essential for developing extraordinary travel experiences that create a lasting impression, promote repeat trips, and generate good word-of-mouth recommendations. Adventure tourism businesses may prosper and support the long-term expansion of the sector by embracing the idea of unforgettable travel experiences. |
