| Abstract: | प्राचीन ऋषि महर्षियों द्वारा साक्षात्कृत, अर्जित एवं संकलित किये गये ज्ञान के भंडार को वेद कहते हैं । भारतीय मनीषियों के अनुसार वेद नित्य और अपौरुषेय हैं । वेद शब्द वैदिक ग्रन्थों में प्रतिपादित ज्ञान का वाचक होने के साथ ही सम्पूर्ण वैदिक वाङ्मय का भी बोध कराता है । भारतीय संस्कृति और सभ्यता का विशाल भवन वैदिक साहित्य की आधारशिला पर ही आधारित है । ज्ञानार्जन और मानव कल्याण हेतु वेदाध्ययन का महत्त्व मानव जीवन में एकमत से स्वीकार किया गया है । वैदिक साहित्य समस्त मानवसमुदाय को धर्म, संप्रदाय, जाति और वर्ग विशेष के प्रति भेदभाव की भावनाओं से ऊपर उठाकर कल्याण, सुख, शांति और समृद्धि की प्राप्ति कराने में समर्थ है । |
