In domestic appliances, workshops and small plants, single-phase induction motors are often used. In this paper, to resolve the shortcomings of traditional controllers, we suggest a new control method for the single-phase induction motor. A motor mathematical model is developed and the output of the motor is determined. MATLAB simulation is performed and the results are investigated for single-phase induction motor without any controller, with GAPI, Cuckoo Search PID controller and also the proposed controller on full load condition. The simulation results show that the new method of speed control gives a higher torque value when compared to the traditional controllers.
