The objective of the presented research paper is to prove wrong the perception of women prevalent in the society by showing the role of women in assimilation, preservation and transfer of cultural values. This article throws light on two important aspects which are inherent in India as a diverse country and these are women and cultural values. This article explores the many ways in which these factors are closely related to each other and contribute to nation building. It also highlights the important role of Indian women in maintaining the prosperity and cultural diversity of the nation. While living in the family, she spreads cultural values within and outside her family and makes them aware. Women play an important role in assimilating and transferring cultural values.
In the presented article, the contribution made by women in various fields like social, economic, political, educational, medical, literature etc. for the assimilation, preservation and transfer of cultural values has been published.
