Abstract: 5G stands for fifth generation wireless technology.5G Technology permits faster, extra strong and extra steady connectivity that’s advancing the whole thing from self-using motors to clever grids for renewable energy and AI-enabled robots on manufacturing unit floors. 5G's high bandwidth will allow for the transmission of large amounts of data, which is necessary for applications such as video streaming and augmented reality. For example, 5G can support data transfer rates of up to 100 gigabits per second, compared to 1 gigabit per second for 4G. 5G's low latency will enable real-time communication between IoT devices, which is essential for applications such as industrial automation and remote medical monitoring. For example, 5G can achieve latency of just a few milliseconds, compared to 100 milliseconds for 4G. 5G technology is often associated with the Internet of Things to improve the quality of life for citizens by automating and gathering data recollection processes. This research paper presents a mixed-methods study that will investigate on quantitative and qualitative data for studying the impact of 5G on IoT, common architectures, typical IoT implementations, and recurring problems. Enabling critical infrastructures, financial liability on consumers, High Spectrum pricing, Security and Privacy management are some major complications in the implementation of 5G Technology. The study will make a significant contribution to the field of IoT by providing a comprehensive overview of the impact of 5G on this emerging technology.
