Drug-induced QT prolongation is simultaneously a rare yet common occurrence in the clinical setting which can be easily overlooked due to its relative lack of presence. The direct correlation between DIQTP and Torsades de Pointes (TdP) is also of importance as a variety of medications that can induce QT prolongation also lead to TdP emergence and these drugs are prescribed regularly. It is therefore imperative to bring to light these pharmaceutical agents to spread awareness of dangers regarding improper monitoring of patients vital signs when administering them.
