ABSTRACT
BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVE: Corona virus (COV) is derived from the word ‘corona’ meaning ‘crown’ in Latin. It causes a range of human respiratory tract infections varying from mild cold to severe respiratory distress syndrome.; In many cases patient remain bed ridden in the ICU for extended periods which leads to muscle weakness, myopathy and neuropathy owing to critical illness as well as reduced joint mobility, Pain in neck and shoulders, difficulty in standing, impaired balance and gait with consequent limitations in of daily living.Even after getting discharged from hospital post COVID19 patients experienced many symptoms which were obstructing their daily living and hampering Quality of Life.
METHODOLOGY: Total 100 patients were taken and acknowledged about the SF-36 form by physiotherapist and their concern was taken for study. They were asked to note down their pre COVID-19 and post covid-19 discharge condition in SF 36 Questionnaire.
RESULTS: After data collection statistical analysis was done by using Microsoft excel windows 7 and which was suggesting that out of all the component of health more influenced component was general health of the patients (53.76 ± 20.55) and less influenced was pain (81.02 ± 20.18) and Emotional well-being (78.34).
CONCLUSION: Covid-19 post discharge patients have significant impairment of all aspect of quality of life, not only general health and Physical functioning.
