| Abstract: | Abstract: Digital literacy has become significant skill required for users in higher education institutions to use the library effectively. Implementing digital services and resources in higher education institutions in Zamfara State will be difficult if the users are not digitally sound. The study aims to investigate the digital literacy status and challenges encountered by the library users in the state and the opportunities of librarians in implementing the digital services in the libraries. A questionnaire was served as the instrument for data collection. Stratified sampling was employed by selecting only 90 users in the three federal higher education institutions in the State. The response rate was 100%. Tables and simple percentage was used for data analysis. The results of the study identified the current accessibility and barriers of digital inclusion and level of digital literacy of library users in higher education institutions in Zamfara State |
