Abstract: This journal paper presents a comprehensive analysis of venture capital (VC) investment strategies in India through the application of Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). India has witnessed a remarkable surge in entrepreneurial activity and VC investments in recent years, making it imperative to scrutinize the intricate relationships between various factors influencing VC decisions. Utilizing a dataset comprising VC investments across diverse sectors, this study employs SEM to elucidate the complex interplay between key variables such as entrepreneurial quality, market potential, regulatory environment, and financial performance. The findings reveal crucial insights into the drivers of VC investment decisions in India. Our results highlight the paramount importance of entrepreneurial quality and market potential, with both factors significantly influencing investment choices. Additionally, the study underscores the role of regulatory factors and their impact on investment outcomes. These insights hold significant implications for entrepreneurs seeking VC funding and policymakers striving to foster a conducive ecosystem for venture capital in India. This research contributes to the burgeoning literature on VC investments in emerging economies, offering a nuanced understanding of the dynamics specific to the Indian context. By leveraging SEM, it provides a rigorous analytical framework for assessing VC investment strategies, aiding both investors and entrepreneurs in making more informed decisions within this dynamic and rapidly evolving landscape.
