Abstract: As the demands of the world and society changed over time, so did creative methods of teaching and learning. The effectiveness of blended learning with a mixed approach is mostly dependent on the student's comfort level, comprehension, and capacity for working with a flexible schedule with relation to both time and place. It is important that educators, past and present are aware of the advances in learning that this important and innovative approach has brought about. In addition to explaining the concept and importance of blended learning for teacher training institutions, this study looks at the necessity of blended learning in higher education, specifically in the area of teacher education. Blended learning offers the most advanced technical tools for both instructors and students, and can address a number of systemic difficulties in place of traditional teaching approaches. It helps to reduce the challenges that modern education faces by encouraging collaboration amongst members of the educational community. One of the main features of the blended strategy is how both offline and internet media get above each other's limits. The purpose of this research is to find out whether blended learning is necessary in the Indian context, how teacher preparation programs should incorporate it, and whether there are any other possible solutions to the nation's educational issues. This review is analytical in nature. Papers were referred from a number of online publications, including academia and research gate, and some were selected for in-depth analysis in keeping with the specifications of the ongoing study.
