In this paper, we'll talk about several creative strategies for symmetry instruction in classrooms. A crucial geometrical idea, symmetry is frequently seen in nature and is used in practically every aspect of human endeavor. The concept of symmetry is used by a wide range of people, including professionals, artists, jewelry and garment designers, automakers, and architects. You can find symmetrical patterns in beehives, flowers, tree leaves, religious symbols, rugs, and, handkerchiefs, among other things.
To teach symmetry through innovative ways, we will discuss various methods in this paper such as toy-based learning, arts integration, storytelling, and sports integration. Toy-based learning is a type of experiential learning that operates on the learning-by-doing principle. Children have an innate ability to engage in activities that bring them joy, which helps them develop various skills unknowingly. Art integration is a cross-curricular pedagogical approach that uses various aspects and forms of art and culture as the foundation for learning concepts from numerous topics. Storytelling is an effective form of education. At the very least, stories impose a temporal logic on the content of a course or lesson. That temporal logic provides students with a metric for judging the progress of both the story and the lesson content, increasing their engagement. Another cross-curricular pedagogical approach is sports integration, which incorporates physical activities, including indigenous sports, into pedagogical practices to aid in the development of skills such as collaboration, self-initiative, self-direction, self-discipline, teamwork, responsibility, citizenship, and so on.
