Abstract

Motherhood is a beautiful process, whereby mothers safely delivers a child. It is the magic of creation. Care must be given to ensure safe birth. Quasi experimental non randomized control group design was adopted for the study. 60 samples were selected by using purposive sampling technique. Demographic and obstetrical proforma, REEDA scale and numerical pain rating scale were used to collect the data. Study findings revealed that perineal care practice were effective in healing of episiotomy wound and reduction of pain level of postnatal mothers in experimental group as compared to control group.
