Abstract
This review of transdermal patches focuses on the innovation of the transdermal drug delivery system and transdermal patches, constituents of transdermal patches, types of transdermal patches, functioning of the skin, the routes in the skin through which transdermal patches supplies its drug into the intact of skin. The review also centres on how transdermal patches is better than the oral dosage forms, how it will be overcome to the side effects of oral dosage forms and at last, how transdermal patch give its impact to the patient compliance.
