Abstract: Cynodon dactylon (L.) Pers. (family- Poaceae) (Bermuda grass) is a perennial grass distributed all over the world, and particularly it is native to the warm temperate and tropical regions ( Asia , Australia , Europe , Africa ) has a prime position in ethno medicinal practices and traditional systems of medicine. It has different names in review we summaries some Pharmacological Activities different Indian languages such as Durva (Marathi), Durba (Bengali), Dhro (Gujarati), Garichgaddi (Telugu), Arukampillu (Tamil), Haritaki (Sanskrit) etc. Cynodon dactylon contains many metabolites like flavanoids, alkaloids, glycosides, terpenoides, triterpenoids steroids, saponins, tannins, resins, phytosterols, reducing sugars, carbohydrates, proteins, volatile oils and fixed oils , carotenoids . It has vast medicinal value and it is used in the treatment of various diseases in the form of its powder, paste or juice . The plant shows various biological activities such as Anticancer, Antidiabetic, Anti-inflammatory, Antipyretic, Analgesic, Cardiovascular, Anti-arrhythmic, Wound Healing, Immunomodulatory, Antiulcer, Antidiarrheal, Bronchodilatory, Diuretic, Antioxidant, Antimicrobial, Antiviral and Reproductive activities . In given of Cynodon dactylon along with it’s Phytochemical Constitution . According to a variety of prospective considerations, Cynodon Dactylon (L.) pers. Is the best alternative treatment to chemical medications.
