Abstract: Mobile operating systems play an important role in the design of consumer decisions, with Android and iOS being two dominant platforms. Each offers unique features, user friendliness, and the benefits of an ecosystem. This study provides a comparative analysis of these operating systems, focusing on aspects such as user interface, safety, adaptation, accessibility, marketing strategies, and consumer preferences. This flexibility addresses users who prefer personalised experiences. Additionally, Android devices are available in a variety of price segments, making them accessible to a larger audience. In contrast, iOS pursues a closed ecosystem approach that prioritises consistency, security, and seamless integration between Apple devices. Although iOS adaptation options are more limited, optimised performance, regular software updates, and a user-friendly interface contribute to a sophisticated and efficient experience. Research and data analysis assess user satisfaction with features such as gaming performance, battery optimisation, cloud storage, and voice assistant. The results show that Android is characterised by adaptation and affordability, but prefers its smooth performance and ecosystem reliability. By understanding user preferences and expectations, this study provides insights into the strengths and limitations of both operating systems that provide recommendations for future improvements in the user experience within the balance of security and performance relationships that balance safety, performance, and performance. Recommendations for future improvements that can improve the user experience while simultaneously adjusting safety, adaptation, and performance.
