This document presents the design and implementation of an online movie ticketing system. The system is designed to enable consumers to purchase movie tickets online with ease and user-friendliness without having to wait in long queues or visiting the physical ticket outlets for features such as movie selection, seat selection, payment processing, ticket confirmation, . ticketing renewals and ticket transfers. The system also uses recommendation systems to suggest movies to users based on existing selections and browsing history. In addition, the system incorporates security features such as user authentication, data encryption, and secure payment processing to ensure customer information is protected Various programming languages, frameworks and databases were used for implementation implemented the system. Overall, the system provides an efficient and convenient way to book movie tickets, improving overall cinema experience for customers.
