Bankura district is a rich region of red soil. Just as the red soil of this region has terracotta art, dance, folk music and the enchanting atmosphere of puja-parvan, the stories of the heroism and tradition of medieval kings flow in the minds of the people. The Damodar, Darkeshwar and Kangsabati rivers carry the stream of history from age to age, a part of which is still unknown. In the alleys of Bankura district, one can hear stories of royal palaces, kings, and wars of kings. Although some kings were not skilled in weapons, they were loyal to the people. Many kings ruled based on divine power alone. According to popular belief, many stories are prevalent. There is a deeper history behind the emergence of each king. The main purpose of this study is to shed light on all those royal histories in a continuous manner.
