Abstract: The sector of adventure tourism is one of the rapidly expanding sections in the International traveling and tourism industry. As disposable incomes grow, lifestyles evolve, and desire enhanced and participatory activities, people are increasingly want to venture into outdoor activity that engages the body like trekking, rafting, mountaineering, zip-lining, and safari as a means to explore wildlife. This has caused the rapid growth to bring in more and more diverse tourists than ever before. This report is a critical assessment of whether adventure tourism should be promoted or not by referring to its economic, social and environmental impacts. On the one hand, adventure tourism has a very positive impact on the economies of the locals because it creates jobs and incomes, develops infrastructure, and generates foreign exchange. Conversely, when uncontrolled, it may lead to severe environmental deterioration, ecological disproportion, and security threat to delicate destinations. The research concludes that even though adventure tourism is worth promoting as both economically and socially advantageous activity, it has to be carried out in a responsible manner by means of sustainable development, environmental protection, and effective control, and ethical promotion in such a way that the long-term advantages of the host communities and the natural ecosystems could be guaranteed.
