In Ancient India law prevailed in the society. Even the kings also obeyed the rules. There were six types of courts and the hierarchical systems of courts were existed in Ancient India. There were also five types of punishments. Qualification of the judges were very high at that time . Ancient Indians stressed the valuse of moral education and at that time ordinary citizens had rights and duties. Human Rights occupied an important role in Ancient India.
