Wounds are inescapable events in life. Wounds may arise due to physical, chemical or microbial agents. Wound healing involves a complex series of interactions between different cell types, cytokine mediators, and the extracellular matrix. The phases of normal wound healing include hemostasias, inflammation, proliferation and remodeling. Each phase of wound healing is distinct, although the wound healing process is continuous, with each phase overlapping the next. There are various model of excision wound model , incision wound model , burn wound model , dead space wound model , ear wound models . The normal wounds are starts to heal instantly after an injury, but in some cases wounds failed to heal in an appropriate and organized manner. Fibroblast produces a variety of substances essential for wound repair including glycosaminoglycans and collagen. Under the step of contraction wound edges pull together to reduces the defects in the third step epithelial tissues are formed over the wound site.
