This paper analyses gender differences in the job satisfaction of employees at Mizoram Christian College (MCC), Aizawl of Mizoram State, North East India. MCC is a private college that is owned by the Mizoram Presbyterian Church. The main objective of the study is to determine empirically the factors influencing the job satisfaction of the employees in MCC and to analyse the gender difference in job satisfaction of employees of Mizoram Christian College. The study adopted the census method for the collection of primary data. The Short-form Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire (MSQ) which contained 20 items was administered to the employees to assess their job satisfaction and to reflect on gender differences. The result of the study is expected to be useful to the management to correct conditions that produce dissatisfaction among certain groups of employees as the satisfaction of employees is critical to the effective functioning of an organization.
