Abstract
The study of Human health and the practice of Dieting has been the subject-matter of health scientists or professionals through the annals. But whilst doing study in their respective area of research, they willingly or unwillingly have ignored the social and cultural aspects of health and its related issues. This present paper attempts to study the sociological aspects of human food-habits and the practice of Dieting among the youngsters. This study will also try to exhibit the gender based differences and preferences among the youths regarding their practice of health related diets. This work will be based finally on the survey-research that was conducted in the city of Kolkata, for the more clarification of the whole subject-matter.
