| Abstract: | Abstract Community centres in rural locations are vital to the economic, social, and educational growth of their residents. Unfortunately, a lack of education, ignorance, and support from the government causes these buildings to be ignored for far too long. In this article, we look at how illiteracy and a lack of interest in doing structural audits of rural public buildings affect those areas the most. There is a serious threat to public safety and a barrier to community growth due to these structural problems, which are worsened by insufficient maintenance and audits. Educational efforts, government participation, and community engagement are some of the possible remedies to the problems that the study finds as contributing to this issue. |
