Sluice gates are simple mechanisms devised centuries ago and operated manually to regulate the flow of saline river water and the Khazan fields of Goa. However, mismanagement of the sluice gates by operators (gatekeepers) many a times results in heavy losses to the farmers. In this paper, we therefore propose and simulate an Internet of Things (IoT) based sluice gates control system to help the operators to manage the sluice gates as per their needs.
