In India, sex workers face a range of obstacles due to stigma, laws, and a system that allows limited access to needed services like healthcare, legal support, and social services. This study considers management and human resources responses to these challenges, suggesting that structured approaches can improve the health, safety, and autonomy for sex workers. Further, it describes how management benefits when working effectively with NGOs aimed at improving health, preventing HIV/AIDS, and being inclusive, through programs that can empower sex workers and contribute to their economic stability. In addition to management, human resource challenges are included in the discussion about barriers worried to healthcare, legal protection, and social services. In integrating gender responsive, community based approaches, this study suggests a need for policy reform and strategic partners that are structured toward dignity, economic stability, and long-term social change for sex workers in India.
