Abstract: Perishable goods, including food, medicine, and different goods that need specific temperatures, should be legitimately watched inside their inventory network to keep them from decaying, rotting or losing its quality. The traditional way these goods are monitored is with manual monitoring which is error-prone, time-consuming, and inefficient. This paper presents an IoT based tracking that can monitor the current temperature and humidity of goods affected by supply chain logistics. The system employs a DHT22 sensor to monitor atmospheric temperature and humidity, data which is processed and communicated using a NodeMCU (ESP8266) module through Wi-Fi to Google Sheets. Uninterrupted power supply is provided with a rechargeable battery and charging facility, which makes the system suitable for both stationary and portable applications. Its data is integrated with Google AppSheet, where users set threshold levels for temperature and humidity. When sensor data reaches these threshold levels, the system automatically sends email notifications to the users that allow for prompt corrective action. The system was further validated for responsiveness, accuracy, and reliability. According to the resulting data, it is capable of delivering accurate temperature and humidity measurements, real-time data transmission without gaps, and instant alert messages. Later, the limitation issues in such that Wi-Fi coverage in some areas were faced, future scope of which can be integrated in the form of a GSM module for backup network connection. The IoT based monitoring system is a cost-effective, scalable and automated logistics perishable goods management system. By ensuring real-time tracing, proactive alarming and remote monitoring, it mitigates the risk of spoilage, optimizes supply chain, and sustains regulatory compliance. The future development of our product will be further integrated predictive analysis through machine learning methods and mobile app interface for user-friendliness and easier access and control.
