This paper explores the potential for establishing a fully indigenous Indian smartphone brand. Despite being the second-largest smartphone market globally, India remains heavily reliant on foreign brands and imported components. This study investigates consumer preferences, the strategic and economic viability of building a Made-in-India smartphone, and the challenges Indian brands face. Using a combination of industry analysis and primary consumer surveys, the paper identifies key demand drivers, consumer sentiment, and actionable strategies for positioning an Indian smartphone brand competitively.
