| Abstract: | This paper looks at how local appliance retailers in Nagpur District are involved in the shift towards more sustainable cooling solutions. Based on a survey of 54 retailers, we explore what kinds of products are being sold, what customers are looking for, and how much people care about energy efficiency and environmental impact. While basic appliances like fans and coolers dominate the market due to cost, there is a growing interest in energy-saving and eco-friendly options. However, the uptake is still low due to price, lack of awareness, and limited supply. We suggest steps like better training for retailers, financial incentives, and awareness campaigns to help speed up the adoption of sustainable cooling. |
