Bengaluru is the capital city of Indian state of Karnataka. It has population range from 8.42 million and is a very popular and highly developed city in the southern India. The study includes the functional evaluation of road networks in the Silk board junction, Bengaluru, Karnataka. There are four road links in the Silk board junction; functional evaluation is done for all four roads links to determine the pavement condition, serviceability and surface characteristics. Pavement Condition Index (PCI) value obtained for the various road links are 79.72, 79.63, 81.03, and 86.81. Pavement condition of two road links is good compared to other two. Roughness measured by the MERLIN test has International Roughness Index values (IRI) 1.82m/km, 1.63m/km, 1.86m/km and 1.53m/km, which are all within the permissible limits. Skid resistance measured in terms of Macro Texture Depth (MTD), for one link MTD is deviated up to 1.52mm from the mean value 1mm, other three links have linear road profile. Rut Depth (RD) for all four roads was measured. For road 1 and road 2 ruts were moderate and for road 3 and road 4 there were no ruts on the main roads.
