Energy is one of the major factors in the formation and development of the societies. Buildings contribute impact on carbon dioxide emission and energy consumption over usage of conventional building materials not only cause global warming but also affect the natural resources. In this paper a study has been undertaken for under construction buildings in order to assess its potential and capacity to save energy in buildings. Hence to achieve this, the simulation method have been chosen to analyze, The aim is to achieve the energy efficient building , Hence the two institutional hostel buildings have been chosen for the energy performance and is measured by using eQUEST 3.65b energy simulation software and suitable recommendations have been provided by implementing insulation for building envelopes as an energy efficient measure and helpful in achieve the sustainable buildings and society.
