Aim: The study is done to assess the knowledge regarding removable partial dentures among partially edentulous patients in south Indian population. Objective: The objective of this study was to assess patient’s satisfaction with retention, aesthetics, chewing, speech and comfort of wearing removable partial denture. Also the objective of this study is to assess the influence of factors such as previous wearing of denture, age, gender martial status, level of education, presence of chronic disease and smoking habits on patients satisfaction with therapy .The study also assess on patient preference material used in removable partial denture. Background: Partial denture is removable prosthesis which compensates missing teeth and alveolar bone after the loss of the teeth .Removable partial denture plays a role in restorating functions of mastication and aesthetics, but also it should have proper relationship to remaining teeth, periodontal and mucous tissues. Reason: This study is done to determine the knowledge of patients using removable partial dentures among south Indian population on the basis of retention, aesthetics, chewing, material of choice, speech and comfort of the patient.
