Construction industry is growing at a very faster rate. Due to this growth rate, there is an increased demand for aggregates, Portland cement and other natural occurring materials. This s resulting in emission of large amount of carbon dioxide and other gases. Therefore there is a need to find potential alternative materials to the traditional construction material to mitigate the environmental degradation keeping sustainable usage of the resources as major objective. Geo polymers are part of polymer science, chemistry and technology that forms one of the major areas of materials science. The Purpose of the present research is to understand the behavior of Fly Ash based Geopolymer soil bricks and its durability, the size of the bricks. Fly ash is a commonly used as a raw materials for synthesis of geopolymers with different synthesis methods from the researchers. This paper studies the previous researches on use of fly ash as a binding material for brick along with alkaline solutions, which is named as “Geo polymer”.
