This project outlines the utilization of plastic waste in manufacturing of plastic sand blocks. Now a day’s both MPW
(Municipal plastic waste) and the construction industries are increasing rapidly with reduced recycling that too with regards to plastic
waste. Utilizing plastic waste as a construction material especially in the production of construction block is a promising move towards a
sustainable resources and waste management. Here the plastic waste substitutes the cement. Further research based on recent research
and a better understanding in utilization of plastic waste in block is needed to produce good quality block to achieve the optimum balance
in all aspects especially in terms of economy and functionality. In this research work comparison of different properties between the
plastic blocks and normal sandcrete blocks will be done by conducting necessary tests, such as compression test, water absorption test
and bulk density test to conclude whether plastic sand blocks are good alternative for Sandcrete blocks.
