The world population is divided between rural-urban areas. In developed countries, the majority of the people live in urban areas whereas developing countries, the majority of the people live in rural areas. The rural-urban ratio of population is an important indicator of socio-economic development of a country owing to the study on the trends of rural-urban populaion growth in Manipur, India is necessary. The present paper is an attempt to study on the trends of rural-urban populaion growth during the period of 1901-2011.
