Vidarbha has significant coal deposits and water resources in many areas. It will be most polluted region of the country. Air pollutant SO2, NO2, PM10, PM2.5 and AQI were monitor during 2019, 2020 and 2021 at Akola, Amaravati, Nagpur and Chandrapur stations and compared with national ambient air quality standards. SO2 and NO2 concentrations were below to the limit at all stations. Whereas, PM10, PM2.5 and AQI concentrations were more at Chandrapur station. Chadrapur was most polluted city than other cities with respect to PM10, PM2.5 and AQI pollutant.
