Abstract: In present scenario of sedentary lives of people, the liver diseases are at peak levels of incidence. The person must not be an alcoholic but may be sedentary in action to experience the liver disease. This study of ours concentrates on the group of people with non-alcoholic liver disease. The study is aimed to identify the effectiveness of Oleoylethanolamide in treating Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD). Oleoylethanolamide is an established drug for weight loss by eliminating the fat deposits in the body. A group of 50 patients who meet the inclusion criteria at a tertiary care hospital were enrolled in our single centered prospective cohort study. Patients are categorized into two groups based on patient’s economical background and liver size patterns, treatment group and control group, 25 in each group are included in the study. Ultrasonography report were observed during the study to assess liver size of the patient. Patient’s clinical and functional status was improved by clinical manifestation and fatty liver size in our study. There was a decrease in liver size over 6 months observed in ultrasonography reports of treatment group patients. Hence, Oleoylethanolamide is effective in treating NAFLD.
