Slope failure is a common phenomenon occurring in nature in which engineers have to avoid risk to human life and properties by an appropriate technical design of stabilizing method. The landslide issue analysis of slope under different environmental conditions such as earthquake and rainfall must be carried out. On, 31st July 2014, a landslide occurred at the village Malin of Ambegaon Taluka in Pune district, Maharashtra State, India. The landslide occurred when heavy rainfall was present and killed 251 people, apart from loss to the properties due to the overrun of mud and earth. Natural slopes in the villages are analyzed for their stability using GEO5 software. GEO5 software is the slope stability software for soil and rock slopes. Soil nailing is the most promising technique established in 1972, used for the stabilization of soil slope. Study of soil nailing system is studied in terms of nail inclination, nail spacing, and nail length to determine the most appropriate value of safety factor for effective stabilization of soil slope. MS Excel is used to design the mailed slope. The analysis of slope is carried out using mailing for the same failure plane and found to have a safety value from 1.98 to 2.56 in normal conditions and 1.33 to 1.94 in worst conditions.
