Abstract: More than half of Indian population were engaged in agricultural sector but the available technology doesn’t ensure food security of the country. Hence, to diffuse new agricultural invention and innovation in the farming community, there arises a need for effective medium for transfer of technology. KVK plays an important role as a bridge the gap between the technology generation and dissemination. The present study was undertaken to understand the impact of KVK training programme on farmers. Ex-post facto research design was adopted. And 120 respondents from Gohparu block of Shahdol district of Madhya Pradesh were selected randomly as respondents. Primary data were collected from respondents and secondary data from available literatures. The findings revealed that majority of the Trainee and Non-trainee respondents have Medium and low level of socio-economic profile. In case of impact of KVK training in income and employment, Trainee respondents have shown 43.34% i.e High level impact and among Non-trainees majority of the respondents 83.33% have shown Low level of impact. It was found that the independent variables i.e. educational qualification, caste, annual income, type of house, Source of information were positively and significantly correlated with the impact of KVK training on income and employment at 0.01% of probability. Therefore, null hypothesis was rejected for these variables.
