The developed UV Spectrophotometric method is accurate, precise, and linear therefore the method can be used for the routine analysis of phenylephrine Hcl IP in various pharmaceutical Industries. Spectroscopic method was developed and validated according to ICH guidelines. Sharp peak at 203nm shown when spectrum scanned for drug concentration dissolved in methanol .The developed method can be used without interference . A cheap and a rapid UV Spectrophotometric method was developed and validated for the quantitative estimation of phenylephrine hcl IP as per ICH guidelines using methanol as solvent. The calibration curve exhibited excellent linearity over the concentration range of 10-50 μg/ml. The method demonstrated good accuracy with recovery values ranging from 98.5%-102.3%. System, Precision are exemplified by relative standard deviation of 0.254471 and % RSD 0.01472 respectively. The developed method exhibited linearity in regression coefficient 0.9979 , %RSD FOR 50% Was found to be 1.950 , for 100% was found to be 1.852 and for 150% was found to be 0.851 during accuracy study . The LOD and LOQ were found to be 0.480 μg/ml and 1. μg / ml respectively. Percentage RSD was found to be 0.01413, during robustness study. Accordingly it is concluded that the developed UV Spectrophotometric method is accurate, precise, and linear therefore the method can be used for the routine analysis of Phenylephrine HCL IP .
