Abstract: C-H bond functionalization reactions using oxidative coupling reactions and their importance over traditional C-C bond-forming reactions have gained importance over the years. Due to their high C-H bond dissociation energy, C-H bond functionalization is considered to be a highly challenging approach in organic synthesis. The important methods of C-H bond functionalization based on transition metal-catalyzed oxidative coupling reactions have been discussed in this review.
