Background : Stress can be defined as the internal response to external events. In other words stress is what the body and mind experience when we try to adopt the changes in the internal and external environment. Majority of the adolescent undergo stress came to facing multiple problems in their life. Adolescence is a crucial period for developing social and emotional habits important for mental well-being. These include adopting healthy sleep patterns; exercising regularly; developing coping, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills; and learning to manage emotions. Protective and supportive environments in the family, at school and in the wider community are important. Methodology: Using quasi experimental one group pretest post test research design. A total of 50 subjects were selected for study by using convenient sampling technique. With the use of Academic stress scale were used as the tool. Results: The results of the study revealed that in pretest majority of the students 20(40.0%) had moderate stress , 21(42.0%) had slight stress, , 2(4.0%) had high stress and 7(14.0%) had no stress with mean and standard deviation of 3.66 and 0.772. In post test, 18 (36.0%) students had moderate stress, 18(36.0%) students had slight stress, 1(2.0%) student had high stress and 13(26.0) students had no stress with mean and standard deviation of 4.86 and 0.833. Conclusion: Study concluded that the Guided Imager technique was effective method to reduce the stress among nursing students. Recommendation : The comparative study can be conducted between rural and urban area.
