| Abstract: | In an era where environmental concerns are paramount, dental practitioners switch over to green dentistry which is an innovative way of dental practice that is environmental friendly by conserving waste, conserving energy and decreasing pollution with the use of latest techniques and procedures thereby, the study aims at knowledge, attitude and practice of green dentistry among dental graduates and practitioners. A close-ended, self-structured questionnaire was designed with 23 questions and was circulated through google form link to 4 different colleges in Pune and dental practitioners residing in Pune. A survey was conducted among 248 participants of which 80% were familiar with the concept of green dentistry while only 45% practice eco-friendly or green dentistry in their clinic or college on daily basis. The study concluded there is an apparent visible gap between cognizance and implementation. |
