Abstract: Researchers are closely monitoring phytochemicals with antibacterial and antioxidant properties due to their potential medicinal utility. Screening and identifying the chemicals from various plant species is required in order to fully realize their therapeutic benefits. Using a variety of qualitative chemical assays, the current work set out to identify the chemical elements of the methanolic extract of B. glabra flowers. The results of the examination showed that the extract contained alkaloids, flavonoids, phenolic chemicals, and tannins.Staphylococcus aureus 2654 (NCIM), Escherichia coli2831 (NCIM), Bacillus subtilis 2461 (NCIM), and Candida albicans 2560 (NCIM) were all targets of the floral extract's antibacterial efficacy in in-vitro antimicrobial experiments. Three distinct assay methods, including the measurement of phenolics, flavanoids, and betalains, were also used to evaluate the extract's antioxidant abilities. The extract has a strong antioxidant activity as determined by its reducing power (134.71 0.97 TE/100 g of extract), according to the Ferric Reducing Antioxidant Power (FRAP) experiment. Natural antioxidants present in B. glabra flowers scavenge excess free radicals, guard against oxidative damage, and delay the beginning of chronic degenerative diseases and premature aging signs. Because of this, B. glabra flowers can be utilised as a natural source of antioxidants for the creation of food and nutraceutical products.
